What does a drain camera inspection find?
A drain camera inspection shows what is inside the line: grease or soap buildup, a stuck object, roots, a sag, or a cracked or separated pipe. Mountain West runs cameras up to 200 feet, including a self-leveling model, through sink, tub, shower, laundry, and floor drains in Northern Utah, and shows you the footage of the part of the line it can reach.
When should I book a drain camera inspection instead of another cleaning?
Book one when the same drain clogs again after cleaning, when a drain stays slow after everything you have tried, or when you want to see what is in the line before paying for more work. Mountain West uses the footage to explain whether the next step is cleaning, a repair, or checking another part of the system.
Do I get the video from a drain camera inspection?
You see the footage as it runs, and we explain what it shows. A copy of the recording is available for an additional fee, quoted before the inspection, so tell Mountain West when you book if you want one to share with a landlord, property manager, or another contractor.
How much does a drain camera inspection cost?
A drain camera inspection is priced by the job, based on access, how far the line runs, and whether it must be cleared first. Call or text 385-888-7459 for the price on your drain. You approve a written price before the camera goes in. If you move forward with a qualifying larger job with Mountain West, we credit your inspection charge toward that work. After-hours calls carry a 15% to 35% emergency charge shown as its own line.
